What is a Line Cook?

Line cooks are in charge of properly handling and  preparing food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, marinating, etc., depending on the specific food. They cook, grill, fry, sauté 

 

Line cooks must maintain cleanliness of their station and the kitchen to ensure food safety

 

Line cooks must communicate well with other line cooks and the head chef to ensure dishes are prepared correctly
