Hosts/Hostesses are in charge of prompt welcoming and seating of all guests, and assisting servers and/or cashiers as needed.

Welcoming Guests

As a host/hostesses, you are the first person that guests see and interact with. You must welcome guests or answer phone calls, take and confirm reservations as well as make conversation to keep guests engaged.

Helping Team Members

Hosts/Hostesses should help backup servers if there is a rush as well as cashiers. Hosts/hostesses must also seat customers to ensure all waitstaff sections are as equally balanced as possible. During slow times, you are expected to help clean and tidy the restaurant and should always keep the host area clean and stocked.

Keep Guests Informed 

Guests will come to the host/hostess to ask questions about the menus, wait times, food safety for allergies and general questions about the establishment, so hosts/hostesses should stay informed on all topics to properly inform guests.

80% of minimum wage workers are promotion eligible

9-12 month salary growth
On average, non-tipped, eligible employees who start at minimum wage will earn more than minimum wage within 9-12 months of hire.
